Ocean Community One Fund
Times of disaster and extreme community challenge can bring out the best in people and show our character as a collective community. The Ocean Community Chamber Foundation is here to provide those who have best intentions, and those who have the means to contribute, with an opportunity to channel their generosity in a way that yields positive results for the local economy. We are not a "pop-up" charity and we do not send funds to a corporate office. We are local, dedicated and we have a proven track record of service to this community. As a trusted partner with local government, business and the non-profit sector, we are committed to total transparency and involve elected officials in our administrative oversight process during our crisis response campaigns. It is our hope that we can once again inspire generous contributions that could help our local economy rebound faster and ultimately thrive again. With those goals in mind, we have established the Ocean Community One Fund.

The Ocean Community One Fund will be used to help businesses that are forced closed, or have reduced their operations/services by government order or circumstances related to the COVID-19 health crisis. Each of those affected businesses is made up of people from our community. Any donations received would support our local economy and be specifically designated for one of several donor-designated support purposes. Assistance is NOT restricted to Westerly, and is available to businesses and residents in the two state region we serve: Westerly, Richmond, Hopkinton and Charlestown RI and Stonington, CT.

The Ocean Community Chamber Foundation One Fund has been raising funds by collecting donations, and through t-shirt, sweatshirt and face mask sales, to create a grant fund to support small businesses. As of February 4th, 2021, The OCCF has awarded $34,381 in grants to over 30 small businesses in the region during 3 rounds of grant distributions.

Please see our Donate page for more details on how your financial contribution can help.

This website is meant to educate potential donors about an array of donation options to make a positive difference now. For information on supplies or other donations that are being sought in our region during these challenging times, please visit our Donate page.

We thank you for your ongoing support of the Ocean Community Chamber Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization.
